Construction

The SM-BB94-41A uses lightweight and durable resin cups combined with precision bearings to reduce weight while maintaining the stiffness and reliability required for intensive mountain use. Shimano has also optimized the seals to improve protection against water, mud, and contaminants.

Performance

Thanks to its low-friction bearings and Hollowtech II design, the bottom bracket provides particularly smooth rotation and efficient power transfer. It is approximately 18.5g lighter than its predecessor SM-BB91-41A, thus helping to reduce the overall bike weight without compromising durability.

Compatibility

The SM-BB94-41A is designed for Press-Fit BB92 frames with an internal diameter of 41 mm and a shell width of 89.5 mm or 92 mm. It is compatible with Shimano Hollowtech II 24mm spindle cranksets, including XTR, XT, SLX groups, and several other Shimano MTB models.
