The Quilo FLT, GEN 2! WHAT ! GEN 2?

After launching the original FLT in December 2022, we stayed in touch with our enthusiastic ambassadors and consumers, collecting many comments and suggestions. It was so exciting and constructive that we had to take the FLT concept a step further and create a new version of this exceptional shoe to raise the bar even higher.

And this time in an astonishing "stealth" black... yes sir!

WHY FLT >>

Pedaling dynamics in snow is the key to good traction and good power transfer to the pedals. When it comes to platform pedals we know that maximum contact between shoe and pedal is essential, we don't want a bad position, we don't want the sharp tips of the pedals getting between the cleats of the sole. From now on, there is no need to ride in your summer shoes to get that perfect contact and achieve the desired power transfer.

STEP 1, THE FORT WILLIAMS OUTSOLE >>

We keep the best outsole for this job, that of the Italians Vibram®. Compound choice for flat pedal shoes is key. We wanted it to be like a summer shoe, nice and sticky. After numerous tests and obtaining maximum grip, we are convinced that for winter the best compound is "XS Trek", nothing else .

STEP 2, TOP HEIGHT AND TWO-LACE QUICK LACING SYSTEM >>

The original FLT, designed with a single set of laces and ARC pulley lacing technology was a great choice for low-top shoes.

We give you back the 21 cm of height from the ground (like the original Quilo). You can easily cover the top of the shoe with your pants and the snow will never enter the shoe. Now higher, we find the double lace quick lacing system with automatic locking which has proven over the years its solidity and simplicity.

STEP 3, PROTECTION >>

The FLT will need to withstand the sharpest of pedal spikes, so we cover the end of the toe box area, the inside of the boot and the heel with heavy-duty rubber. Everything is firmly cemented and sewn to the boot itself.

STEP 4, WARMTH AND COMFORT >>

The exterior is made up of sturdy panels of synthetic leather with a matte black finish. The internal materials have been specifically chosen to eliminate as much moisture as possible. The innermost layer is a breathable material that dries quickly. The top of the boot is fleece for added comfort and the ''LISZT AIR TOEBOX'', a unique design to maximize comfort and keep toes as warm as possible.

The Quilo series, the lightest boot in the industry that offers an excellent ''protection against the cold'' rating. You will find 200g of insulation there 3M™ Thinsulate as well as a highly efficient ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) thermal wall. More comfortable to walk with greater flexibility at the ankle, all made possible thanks to the combination of the sole Vibram® soft and flexible with an upper made of durable yet flexible 600D fabric.

The FLT is without a doubt the one and only platform pedal winter cycling shoe on the market.
