CC-2 CHAIN WEAR INDICATOR

A worn bicycle chain can cause poor shifting and, over time, even cause excessive wear on the derailleur and rear sprockets, leading to a much more costly problem. That’s why bicycle component manufacturers recommend replacing your chain at regular intervals. Now you can quickly and accurately determine the wear (or “stretch”) of almost any bicycle chain with the CC-2 Chain Checker. Simply insert the chain checker’s pins into two links, gently press the gauge against the swingarm, then check the gauge window for an accurate reading. The CC-2 is compatible with most single-speed chains and derailleurs*, including Shimano® XTR® 12-speed chains.
