ZEISS Optics for variable conditions
The category 2 lens, with a visible light transmission (VLT) of 20 to 24%, is suitable for both sunny and cloudy conditions. The anti-reflective exterior coating reduces glare and eye fatigue, while the Mazzuchelli anti-fog inner lens helps maintain clear vision.

ZEISS lenses Stairways™ lenses are co-developed with Carl Zeiss, a benchmark in optics, to offer exceptional clarity and comfort. Their external anti-reflective coating reduces glare and eye fatigue, while the versatile category 2 lenses, with a visible light transmission (VLT) of 20 to 24%, provide vision adapted to both sunny and cloudy conditions. The interchangeable design allows the lens to be replaced with a yellow low-light lens, offered as an option and sold separately, for snowy or foggy days.

The Stairways™ are equipped with high-end Carl Zeiss lenses featuring a modern cylindrical design, providing exceptional peripheral vision. Their versatile, dual-layer Category 2 construction ensures a clear image, high contrast, and reliable anti-fog protection as conditions change. A yellow Category 1 lens is also available separately for optimal visibility when lighting is low and terrain is difficult to distinguish.
